Animal cruelty is one of the oldest issues in human nature, and the first, and best thing we can do is to inform ourselves, I present tihs video not to make people vegetarian, but to thnk in another alternatives to process this (now very limited) resource and find new ones, no only veggies...

Documentaries have become a very powerful weapon of choice to demand a change in the system, and we don´t have to be Michael Moore in order to make the difference through cinema. Now more than ever we can spread our ideas to create a real revolution of mind, (waht should really happen for a good and endurable change).

Another one? Henry Gibson Dies at 73

You may not know the name of this face, but you surely recognize it from many different shows and movies, current generations viewers and non-experts remember this face mainly from small, but memorable parts in TV shows like "BOSTON LEGAL", "MALCOM IN THE MIDDLE", "BOSTON PUBLIC", etc. The name of this face is Henry Gibson, and unffortunately he passed away ...AND A WEEK BEFORE HIS 74TH BIRTHDAY, THAT TOTALLY SUCKS!!!

Another Star Has left the Building...Patrick Swayze (1953-2009)

After a battle against pancreatic cancer that lasted 20 months, the 57 year old actor. PATRICK SWAYZE dies in a very peaceful manner, accompained with his family, said his publicist, Annet Wolf.

Arnold Schwarzenegger gave a speech in which he refers to Swayze as a "TALENTED PASSIONATE ARTIST WHO TOUCHED A SENSITIVE AND MEMORABLE FIBRE ON WORLD WIDE AUDIENCES".

Sawyze leaves passes away giving us his last performance in a cop series "THE BEAST" were he plays the protagonic roll as an undercover FBI agent (I've only seen the trailer but appears to be not so bad).Although he is perfectly remembered by movies like "Dirty Dancing" (which in a contemporary review it's not that dirty in comparisson with many current films) , "Ghost" (in which is shown the two of the most cliche scenes in movie history with musci by THE RIGHTEOUS BROTHERS, remembering that one of those scenes, if you see them objectively...i'ts a lesbian scene (Demi and Whoopi, Not Patrick, (check the movie again) )) and the very underdogged "BLACK DOG" , movie that I remember particularlly because I got to see 2 VERSIONS of the same movie; one of them was an unauthorized release that was distributed illegally (piracy) . had a very different story, I think I still have, but is in BETA format...I´ll try to pass it to digital.

Muere Larry Gelbart a los 81

El cancer ganó la batalla de varos años, anuncia (obviamente no tan ojete como yo lo dije ahorita) su esposa, el pasado 11 de Septiembre (otra tragedia que se une a ésta fecha...carajo!!!).

Escritor de comedia desde los 16, Gelbart cuenta entre su enorme repertorio éxitos fílmicos, televisivos y escénicos como la adaptación fímica de TOOTSIE, la serie M.A.S.H. y varios guiones para espectáculos de comediantes de la talla de BOB HOPE, otra leyenda de la comedia americana. PAra públicos latinoamericanos es un tanto difícil reconocer toda su trayectoria, pero creo que con TOOTSIE, M.A.S.H. y OH GOD! puede reconocerse su talento como escritor, ya que, DIOS, quien no ha visto OH GOD, (el viejito que clama ser Dios y le haba a un gerente de Supermercado para ayudarle) en sus miles de repeticiones en el canal 4 de Televisa ayá en los 90´s. TOOTSIE es prácticamente un clásico de la comedia americana, quizás no reconocida pro la contribución de Gelbart, pero sí por la gran demostración histriónica de DUSTIN HOFFMAN y la participación no peor de BILL MURRAY (LOST IN TRANSLATION y GHOSTBUSTERS).

Deja inconcluso un proyecto fílmico basado en el musical CITY OF ANGELS, en el cual participó en el score muscial en su versión de BROADWAY.

También deja en el escritorio su participación en el blog liberal de noticias THE HUFFINGTON POST.

The best Fan-Made Trailer ever!!!

Movie trailers is one of the main ways for a movie to find its way to the public's mind and heart. Sometimes even trailers turns out as a better piece of work than the movie itself.

For many diverse reasons, movies don't turn out to be what we expect, or when a back-bone fan (geek) wants its favorite concept (notie the ITS, geeks don't deserve a HE or SHE...just kidding): comics, books, tv shows,etc; they just use every single piece of resource they have. The result is the FAN MADE FILM/ TRAILER.

Onthe contrary of home made films, where the author creates a relatively original concept his movie with a 3 dollar production budgert; Fan made films...actually do almost the very same thing, only instead of bothering in being original, they work based on a complete already made universe. Some times, when the budget is convenient (up to US$30,000 (some high-budget mexican films were produced with the same amount...HAHAHAHA... :C ) ) they actually used actors and have a certain level of quality in the sets, like...actually use sets, and no their mothers kitchen like in most of the 3Dollar films I've seen. Another trick low shot Fan film makers have is to arrange images, sequences from a movie(s) according with their porpuses. For example, there is a japanese animation called "NEON GENESIS EVANGELION" ,there's been rumors about a possible remake of the animetion for american audiences, as they're still in negotiations, fans create what they think would be a good adaptation, sometimes they actually do a good job.

The foolowing is one of the best examples I could find: What if a movie of THUNDERCATS were made? And Who would be whom in that movie?

According to a report by Washington Post's Yinka Adegoke and Alexei Oreskovic, You Tube, the most visited video site in the internet, property of Google Inc. is currently in reunions with major studios (Lions Gate, Sony and Warner Brothers) in order to prepare a new service within the site that will consist in the movie rental service.



This service will provide the user with the option of watching proffesional content from these studios, besides the home made tapes sent by users themselves, the funding concept of the site.



The service may have a cost of US$3.99, in order to have a competitive price against services like AppleTV and Amazon, although the criteria in which this fee will be charged is yet to be known.



This path Google (You tube's owner) has taken apparently is an answer for the demand of a wider library of content, which has been conformed of promos, user made videos and trailers, the public wants the whole thing; besides, there has been criticism in the economic field for the under earnings You Tube has represented for Google; the advertising based earnings is not enough to cover a service of free submiting of millions of videos per year and the support of having them available 24/7 for free.


Let's just hope this is an upgrade for the quality of the service, the problem I find here is that, how will this affect in latin american audiencies in the topic of the fees, when available; US$3.99 is a lot of money for the rent of one single movie(You rent a DVD in Mexico for US$1.50, approximately) , if it is for a month fee, OK, but what if it's not?
